Employee Spotlight: Marvine Goss

Written by

Since starting as an SDR, Marvine Goss has grown into a trusted Customer Success Manager who helps customers get the most from their OpenSesame experience. She builds meaningful relationships, ensures each customer feels supported and confident, and brings calm focus to every interaction. “Doing the hard thing pays off. I can do the hard thing,” she says, a reflection of her steady drive and genuine care for helping others succeed.

Briefly describe your role.

I help customers get the most out of their OpenSesame experience by ensuring the platform aligns with their goals, sets them up for success, and gives them the confidence to move forward.

How has your career grown since starting at the company

Quite a bit. I know so much more today than when I started as an SDR four years ago. Coming from a real estate background and starting as an SDR at OpenSesame really provided me with a solid foundation in product and sales. It’s been a true evolution in how I think and work with customers to create strategic value.

What has been the best part of working in your role?

I love being a trusted partner where I get to build real relationships with customers and support their success along the way.

What is the best ProDev you've taken?

I get the most out of listening to webinars while I walk. I find it enjoyable, and it provides consistent learning.

What advice would you give to new OpenSesame Hires?

Two things! First, relax and do the work. Second, become OpenSesame qualified.

What is your favorite book?

A book that I enjoyed and that really benefited me in my work is Atomic Habits by James Clear. It’s practical and reinforces how small, consistent changes can lead to big results.

What is your favorite course in the OpenSesame catalog?

I really enjoy TED. If I had to have a favorite TED Talk, it would be Teach girls bravery, not perfection by Reshma Saujani.

Where do you get your energy, or what do you enjoy?

Walking is my go-to. It clears my head and helps me think. I also love spending time with family, exploring new places, and trying new foods.

What is the most unique thing about working at OpenSesame?

For me, the most unique thing about working at OpenSesame is peer support and collaboration. You’re given the space to do your job and grow. There’s always someone willing to help.
